On July 24, 1989, Kirsten was born to Cheryl Daniel in Kansas City, Missouri and was later adopted by Brian and Lynne Meadows on September 28, 1989. Kirsten lived in the same house in Hartford City for 17 years and moved to Fort Wayne after she graduated from Delta High School in 2007. Growing up, Kirsten was an athlete, actress, and musician. She was a Division 1 cheerleader her first year of college and had the chance to cheer at the Summit League conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2008. Throughout her school years she performed in six theatre productions and had the opportunity to perform musically at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Today she enjoys modeling, yoga, and spending time with friends.
Miss United States 2010 has ten years of pageant experience. Her pageant career started in the Little Miss category at the Heritage Days festival in her hometown Hartford City, Indiana, and continued in the Junior Miss category. She placed 4th Runner- Up to Junior Miss Heritage Days in 2004, then 2nd Runner-Up to Miss Heritage Days in 2006. After the Miss Heritage Days pageant she decided to expand her pageant career and start competing at higher levels. She has received the Talent award for Miss IPFW, Pageantry Magazine Spirit Award, Media Award via Miss Essence, Website Award via Miss Essence, 4th Runner-Up to Miss IPFW 2010,
